Experian credit report - year of birth

Hi, I've recently signed up for one of those 30-day trials for a credit report and it looks like the year of birth on my account is wrong, and there is no bank acct and no credit info displayed on my report. How do I get this corrected? Thank you!

  • Also the site tells me to add addresses for up to 6 years however I've been in the UK for less than that, how do I add overseas addresses?

    Hi Fivesquare,

It sounds like your date of birth has been entered incorrectly on your profile, if you give us a ring on 0800 013 88 88 or 0344 481 0800, if it's just a small typo we can correct it for you, if not we may need you to send us copies of documents to confirm it.

An incorrect date of birth on your profile could stop your account information from being retrieved on your report, this may be why you can't see your accounts.

We ask for 6 years of address history as we hold closed accounts for six years, so this should ensure you can see any account history at old addresses. As we only hold UK information though you are not able to add addresses from overseas, and we won't have any information relating to them.

Hope this helps and please do call us so we can get your profile sorted out.
    Kind Regards Neil
