Hi our insurance policy includes 'No Claim Discount Protection ', so the NCD would not be affected by one claim during the current period of cover. My question is will my NCD really remain unchanged after one claim?
Thxjoe2cool0 -
You NCD will be the same but the premium is likely to rise.
Your current risk maybe £1000 with 50% no claims. So you pay £500.
After your claim your a higher risk so £1500. But you still get 50% off so its now £750.
Just examples not real numbers.
Also you only get x amount of claims in a set period. So another bigger claim could see you losing them.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Hi appreciated quick reply.... Cheers.....so even when as usual we switch insurers each yr, will the premium still rise? Because we would be showing our NCD which had protection , would they find out about the past claim? We weren't going to claim so just want to make sure about the NCD protection.
Thxjoe2cool0
