Short Stopover Abu Dhabi

Looking at a flight using Etihad that on its return involves a 1 hr 5 min stopover in Abu Dhabi. Is this enough ? I personally dislike short stopovers I find them stressful and leave little room for error. However I've never been to Abu Dhabi so maybe its ok.

It's plenty of time, its a very small airport, and one that you certainly don't want to spend any more time in than is absolutely necessary.

  • If it's a through ticket they will just put you on the next flight or get you home another way

If you are likely to get put on the next flight, perhaps book it any way and avoid getting stressed.

If it arrives 40 minutes late you won't have enough time to grab a couple of drinks in the lounge, but providing you're transiting bridge to bridge you'll most probably make your flight :money:

Etihad, so terminal 3, it's nice but not massive. If you arrive on time, you'll be just fine. If you don't, and have a through ticket, they'll put you on a later flight. If the later flight is full, they'll put you up for the night - the airport is about 25 mins from the city, visas 30 days free on arrival for British passport holders.

I used to go there three times a week from the city centre to sort out visas for people. You'll be made welcome, everyone will speak English. I like Abu Dhabi a lot more than Dubai (next door).
