Memory foam mattress

Personally I don't like memory foam. Mainly because it is a bit freaky/claustrophobic when you climb into bed and settle into the permanent indentation you eventually make in the foam. We now have a natural latex topper (about 4 inch deep) which I find very comfortable.
Where did you get that from? How much was it?0 -
We got an email from Costco yesterday, with this mattress.

I think you can buy online without being a member, although you do pay more.
No experience of this mattress, but Costco's items are usually good quality.0 -
I've got a memory foam, all foam.
I love it, bought it in dreams - a kaymed.0 -
I bought one from there last year, it's ok but the cover is really flimsy and it ripped when I turned it over.
On a personal note, I find the memory foam too hot and I wouldn't get another, probably something to do with my age!
I think you can get a temporary membership for a visit but seem to remember something about only being able to use cash, but I could have dreamt that! They don't take credit cards either.0 -
I have used a m/f mattress for last 7 years after a major spine op. with advice from son who had one I bought http://www.ergoflex.co.uk
it is of a higher standard than the most popular and dearest in uk and is purchased online and delivered far cheaper than some of the rubbish ones in some shops ,although dear still cheaper than shop bought mine is not even worn after 7 years [double used by myself due to health.
advice, delivered vacuum sealed but heavy as 2 or 3 bags of spuds.
there is a harmless chemical smell when opened ,best left open for 12hours , on slatted frame bed ,put cheap downie for protection of underside of mattress when turning [top to tail] every 6 month to even use , NEVER TURN as different material in layers,. ergoflex has a zip fitted cover, you NEVER use electric blanket ,mattress holds and reflects heat in few minutes, in hot summer I have feather downie on top and lay on that as so cool and comfortable. with spine damage and arthritis it is a godsend, tried tenpur [dear brand] before told of ergoflex and felt the same , it was only when I read ''small print'' I knew which I would buy...happy to advise anyone as know the relief to sleep on one.0 -
I thought we needed a new mattress a couple of years ago, on impulse (usually not a good idea) we bought a memory foam mattress topper in Dunelm Mill , just their own brand was around £99 on special offer.
Bed is now incredibly comfortable and two years on no more thoughts of replacing mattress !!
Memory foam is quite warm, we just adjust top covering to suit and have been fine.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
I am a big believer in the "put your money where your time is" saying.
About 4 years ago I bought one of thesefrom Furniture Village and love it.
The only time you'll regret buying one is when you are away
Tempur also offers a 15 year Guarantee (decreasing every year) but it still is peace of mind. See more details here0
