Anyone from Nottingham - Green Street Thoughts?

Hi,

Has anyone been to see the new building development of Eco houses on Green Street near the Meadows in Nottingham? If so what are your thoughts? I'm currently overseas so can't check them out for myself. They seem expensive for the location, is the Meadows being regenerated? Haven't been there for years so maybe the area has improved? For the price of a 3 bed I could get a two bed in say West Bridgford but the eco element appeals.

TIA!

I have been to see one, but it was a couple of years ago so I'll tell you what I remember.
I also thought they were expensive for where they are. The area doesn't seem to be being regenerated. It was just those new houses opposite the old houses that you typically get in "old" Meadows.
The gardens were very small and the eco houses seemed packed in quite tightly. A lot of windows, which can be nice but they were overlooking/overlooked by the other eco houses.
I think I remember them being quite secure.
The houses inside were OK but I thought the location was wrong for the price and the people they are hoping to attract.
I looked at a show house and if you get a chance to visit Nottingham maybe they still have a show home available.

Madrhino thanks that's a great help. I know the Meadows was one of the most deprived areas in Nottingham and the UK. That's exactly what I thought an odd location for the prospective purchasers though I guess they bought the land cheaply? I might wait a few years and see what the resale value is.

    Thanks again.
