Afternoon all, Hope your all having a good one? :)

Got my MOT due early next month and I was wondering if the following would cause a fail?

1) Rear light cluster is cracked, but no white light is showing through - the correct colours are showing when the pedals are pressed etc.

2) Rear wipe not working, it is only clearing half the screen, and needs tightening as it sometimes drops. (tried tightening but really doesnt want to play for some reason!

Cheers all

Pete

A friend reversed into a bollard which removed most of the rear light lens. I refitted the broken bits with red tape and used a clear plastic bag to cover the orange bulbed indicator. No white light showing but obviously damaged. It passed the mot with an advisory stating rear reflector reduced but functional (or similar).

Her rear wiper doesn't work. It passed.

Thats what I thought from reading up, but with rules changing all the time I was hoping it was still the same.

    Cheers

Is complete and not showing white so fine.
    Rear wiper not testable item.

The above is correct. I'd only add that if the cracked light cluster has any sharp edges to it, cover with some tape as sharp edges would also be a fail.
