Mini One Respray - East London/Essex

Hello there,

Wondering if anybody can give some advice.

A nasty creature has recently keyed my car. Two scrapes on the passengerdoor and one long scrape on the back panel on the driver’s side. It's gonethrough the paint and needs a respray. How much should this roughly cost me?It's a 2007 mini one in chili red.

I live in Wanstead, E11. Is there anywhere nearby that could do the job andnot charge the earth? Looking at selling my car now as this has really upset me and need to get it allsorted first.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I can't recommend anywhere near you but I'd suggest making sure you have clear photos of the car and the scratches before they are painted. Selling a freshly painted car could be seen as a sign of a crash so being able to demonstrate it was just a scratch may help when you come to sell.

You could T-Cut yourself it to try and reduce the impact. But unless you are selling privately, I wouldn't bother, as the dealer can get it fixed far cheaper than you can.

I do have photos of the scratches, which are pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Just thought as I'm planning on selling it privately, it would be better off having it look as nice as possible.
