Anna I didn't see your original message. Why not post it again if you need help? I doubt people would have known that you had dyslexia, so it's a shame if it means that you can't get the help which you need.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

My daughter's severely dyslexic too, so I have some understanding of the condition. When she was at school, I'd go mad if any teacher focused on her spelling instead of the content of what she'd written, so I'm with you there. That doesn't mean we let her off punctuation, but everyone's needs are different.
Your original post didn't hint at dyslexia and it made sense. Unfortunately, it could also be taken two ways, and an apostrophe would have made it clear which of those you meant.
Fairy lights' post hinted that it wasn't really clear, so my comment was in response to that. I also implied that, most of the time, we can get by without apostrophes....hence the word "sometimes."
I was not sniping at you, and I'm very sorry if what I said offended you.
It looks as if you have made a good number of posts on MSE already, so please don't stop because of this or any other experience.
If you re-post I'm sure there are lots of people who'll help, though I might not be one of them, as I don't know much about mortgages. None of us can know about everything.

Your snap judgement ASTOUNDS me..
An apology containing the word ''IF'' only serves you - to remove the responsibility from you, and place it back on the OP.With love, POSR

I'm sorry that my aside to fairy lights caused this thread to end, instead of developing into some useful help for the OP.
Whether I can also be held responsible for not knowing of her situation in the first place, is a different matter. We get much more than a single missed apostrophe on here.
I was tired last night, so the distinction between 'if' and 'that' escaped me. I'm happy for the OP, or you, to substitute one with the other.
I'm not sure what my snap judgement was or why you should be astounded, so maybe the finer points of this are going right over my head. Sorry about that too.0
