    Good morning everyone :hello:

I had the worst night's sleep since I have been recording them with my fitbit. I gave up at 3am and came downstairs for a few hours. It was only when I looked at my meds this morning I realized I forgot to take them before bed, d'oh! Ah well, I should be well tired out tonight then :D.

I'm going out today, drumroll please! I'm meeting a friend in town and we are going to our local 'spoons for lunch. My tummy is turning but I am determined to do it as I haven't seen her for ages and I would love to catch up with her news. I've booked my taxi so I don't have to worry about catching the bus and will be leaving in half an hour. I'll put Meg in her crate while I'm out as although she is very good, I have caught her sleeping on the settee whilst I've been in the dining room. I won't be out for too long so she should be fine I hope.

I'm making spag bol from scratch for tea with loads of extra veg in it. My diet is starting to creep back on the naughty side so I want to eat better as then I feel better in myself. Not doing much housework today as I am so tired and I have to pace myself. Will get the girls to push the hoover round when they get back from school and that will be enough.

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are up to, take care xx
  • Morning all,

Judi - Hope the dentist was ok :(

Dumpling - Enjoy the lunch :)

Hilly - Hate black ice. Hope you aren't too sore :(

Had a flurry of snow this morning but the sun is shining now :)

In the middle of cleaning the house through and changing my bed. Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Feeling a bit ignored and a bit taken for granted. I am not a one for sharing my real feelings and tend to hide them away but sometimes they all surface at once and today is one of those days :(

    Anyway onwards I must go...

Have a good day all :)

Did not get u till 10 :o OH woke me at 6.30 with a cuppa and I thought I would have another hour !! I must have needed it, I have today and tomorrow off due to working the weekend.

I have a wash on the go which I think will be hung out for a little while then put through the TD to finish, its quite cold here but with a good breeze so it might dry off a bit.

I have the dentist this afternoon I actually cant wait, I hope he can get whatever is wedged between my teeth out, its driving me mad !

Going to nip to the butchers this morning and get some minty lamb chops, I really fancy some for dinner with some mash and veg.

Sistercas nice to see you posting, glad your mum is ok xx

    Have good days all xx
  • Good morning,

Still very cold here but non of the white stuff thankfully.

We had to pop into town to go to the bank, and then into P**ndland for batteries for DD. We were in and out within half an hour, but it still cost us £1 parking.

Called in at the Pharmacy on the way home to pick up presciptions because I had received a text yesterday to say they were ready, needless to say, as usual, they were not, so had to wait 10 minutes for those.

Home now, WM on and preparing veg for this evenings meal. 2 DGC coming straight from school for their dinner. When I asked did they want a roasty or chicken curry, it was a resounding ROASTY. So chicken, roast and mashed potatoes, green beans, peas and lots of yorkies. Chocolate icecream to follow.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy your lunch Dumpling.

Hilstep look after yourself. I hope your not too sore. :(

Glad to be home and in the warm its far colder here in the Midlands than it was yesterday in the South West. To think this time yesterday we were walking along the beach!

Been to the dentist, thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately there was a lot more faffing around and drilling than there was last week. I really hoped last week would have been the majority of the work completed but it seems not. The root filling took ages and was uncomfortable and at the end of the day the dentist cant guarantee that she has been able to save my back tooth. I do hope all this work hasn't been for nothing. The local anaesthetic is wearing off and ive got pain all down the side of my face (think it was the strain of keeping my mouth open so long).

    Another appointment for next week.:(

'Attacked' Millie dogs fur coat for signs of 'residents', still cant see anything but ive given her a good trim. I'll 'attack' Lucy dog later when I'm feeling up to it.

Ive managed to tidy up and do the laundry but that's as far as ive got. Need to vacuum throughout but I cant see that happening today.

    Hi all,
Sorry to hear the dentist trip wasn't great Judi. Take some painkillers maybe and have an easy-ish day if you can.
Hope your appointment goes ok redruby and the dentist sorts what is bothering you.
I had my second set of fillings (front replaced) on Tue and it was fine enough. Scale and polish was slightly stingy, as was anaesthetic for front fillings, but rest was ok, and dentist was nice.
Been busy with that, catching up with friend, today was laundry and stuff, but also got some new sock yarn so plan to do some knitting. Slept badly last night though, so will hopefully get an early night and have easy tea (sausage and mash). Hugs to all who need.

  • Just having 5 minutes before starting tea. I have been batch cooking this afternoon and got a bit carried away!! Tea is going to be Sainsbob's TTD Haddock when I got on with it! With some salad and Sainsbob's TTD salad potatoes which were on half price offer!

So many dental problems on here today, I hope you are soon all feeling better. And Hilstep too, after your nasty fall.

We have had some rain this afternoon and it's helped thaw some of the lying snow. Still quite a bit left yet though.

Have a nice evening all x

An evening one from me. I had a glorious drive north from Stirling, it was such a pleasure to see the snow topped mountains (like icing sugar dusted rock cakes) and the still waters of the lochs. And then the most pink sky at sunset. I'm all cheered up!

    That's all.

    Evening all,

Still very cold here, although no frost this morning.

Dinner tonight is ham, cabbage, carrots, turnip and potato......I've had mine, DS2 not yet home....he left at 6am so will no doubt be tired.

Had a visit this afternoon from my elder nephew who arrived with his wife from California....she was asleep so will pay a quick visit later on just to say hello, havent seen them for 2 years.

Still struggling with the blanket for my DDIL1, just 2 more side edgings to do, then all the weaving in of loose ends...am determined to have it done by end of weekend, looks as if I might make it this time.

Sympathy to those of you who are still suffering because of snow, hopefully we will escape this year....hope im not tempting fate saying that.

Dentists...hugs to those of you with problems...I had to have a loose tooth removed before my op...right in the middle of my lower jaw, not sure that my gum is strong enough to take an implant, not sure I want to go that route anyway, the alternative is a denture, not sure I want to go that route either, cant see a third choice so will have to go with dentists advice, certainly cant spend the rest of my life with a gap.

Hilstep, sorry to hear about your fall, take it easy.

    Stay safe and warm
