Alert: higher prices through quidco

I thought people should be aware that making purchases through Quidco can result in higher prices on the item that you actually want to buy. I noticed this last year and now open two browser windows (at least) to compare prices. I found that prices were higher on car hire, life insurance, car insurance and many other things. Don't get me wrong, sometimes the price is the same plus you get the cash back, other times it's way higher. Last night for example, I was looking at life insurance through Legal and General, for a £250000 policy over 39 years the cheapest premium through quidco was £47 a month while through Compare the Market it was £39. That's £8 per month over 468 month in order to get £73 cashback. Actual cost of the cashback, £3744.
