£800 just for your side? so £1600 in total , or £400 for your side?
If he is just felting your being torn a new one on the £800 and on the steep side for the latter
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Hi Yeah, £800 for just my side. So £1,600 in total. Ok, that's helpful. It can be hard to get independent quotes without people coming to look at it and get all pushy!! Thank you

But if you have no leak, why would you get yours replaced now? It might be a poor job but it's a poor job with no leaks. Sounds like the roofers are touting for business.

This is a very good point. If £800 isn't that great of a deal, then I might as well just wait until it leaks then get it sorted then. Thank you for your help.

Take photos of your roof, every bit of it.

You don't want leaks just after their side has been done, left by a dodgy roofer who's looking to fleece you.

It's obvious that its not your roof thats the problem but the older one.
