admiral
After some advice please, I contacted admiral with regards to my wifes car waiting to go on cover from the 22nd Feb which was agreed when i took my policy out with them last June. The account online says pending car to insure which is wife's. When i called to say i did not wish to insure the wife's car with them for the five months to tie i with my expiry they said that;s fine the policy is still pending and is not live. Great or so i though, the discount will be added to my policy of £19.93 due to not having the multi car, That's fine i have no problem with this i said, Then the slap in the face was their will be a CANCELLATION CHARGE  of £29.50 really its not even a live policy and no paper work has been produced its still in pending quote stage, My question is how can they justify this charge. I have had a look on their web site and have found no place mentioning this charge. Any ideas guys ?

Doesn't look particularly unreasonable to me. You're the one rescinding from the original agreement. Standard practice really, bet if you looked at the paperwork from back then it would be covered.0

Have you benefitted from a 'multi-car discount' up until now? If not then their charge is unreasonable but if you have then it is reasonable as you've changed the parameters.0

> Removal of a vehicle from a MultiCar Policy
If only one car is cancelled but the whole policy remains in force there will be an intermediary charge of £29.50 per car
to cover the costs of amending your policy, this charge will also apply if you fail to bring a promised car to us. If you
have more than one car on cover, or have arranged to insure other cars from a future date, then you would have received
a discount on your overall premium. If any car is removed during the policy term the entitlement to a discount is lost.
Consequently, the premium will be adjusted for each car.
