Reclaiming 'account management' fee

Hi there newbie here so hopefully I have posted in the right place!
I am in the process of changing banks...my current one being Think Money (they run through RBS) and they charge a monthly fee of £14.50 to manage the account. Now as I will shortly no longer be using them and as I feel I didn't get any benefits from paying this fee am I within my rights to claim it back? It's about 13/14 months worth of £14.50 so quite a lot of money I paid for nothing really
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me

Claim on what grounds?
They provided you with the services and charged you the fee that you agreed to pay.
Is there anything that they promised, but failed to deliver?0 -
They provided me with an account fair enough but that fee was basically because it's a split account...one part is a salaries account, where any money paid in goes to...They hold back any money required for bills etc in there then release any extra to the 'card' account for you to use. Thats it. As time has gone on, I've thought it's not worth nearly £15 a month just to do that? Fair enough if they were giving me any extra benefits bit they don't. Have had a lot of problems with securecode because of them, they had until recently an 0845 number (I could get round that) but to hang on for sometimes 25+ minutes on the phone to get though to someone no matter what time of day I just don't think I have recurved an acceptable level of service for the amount of money0

It's a bit like saying I bought a loaf of bread at Tescos. Once I had eaten it, I found I could have baked my own bread so I now want my money back from Tescos.

It's simple.
You open a free account elsewhere, move your direct debits and salary across and then close the account.
You don't get a rebate just because you don't like them anymore though.0 -
The time to do your research and decide whether something is worth the price is before your purchase. Many people on here would have advised you against this type of managed account for the very reasons you mention. But there's rarely relief for buyers remorse.
RBS are their bankers, that is the only connection between them0 -
God loves a trier though.....

Ah well needless to say I won't be back on here! I simply asked if it was possible and don't know why I expected a reasonable answer, perhaps explaining the reasons why it can't be done if that is indeed the case...did not expect to be flamed with stupid answers and make me feel stupid for asking in the first place! Does it not indeed say at the side under my name that I am a newbie and to give newbies a chance?!
I won't bother again! That's what you get for asking for a bit of help these days I guess!

You didn't get any stupid answers.0

Unfortunately, nobody gets much in the way of thanks for providing answers that posters don't want to hear.
There is much good advice on these forums (fora) but some expect a magic bullet to solve all their problems.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
