What have you got under start/control panel/user accounts?

How are you getting on to the computer now? Do the users have passwords that you don't know? Can you find out from the person you bought it off?

You can't delete or change the system administrator account. You'll need the password no matter what. When you do get it, you can either continue using the admin account, or create a new user with admin privileges.

    Re-install....

Not really much you can do to be honest. Just make sure when you do buy, you have all the passwords etc... Normally (well if it were me) and I were selling I'd have cleared out the machine anyway, and set the passwords to blank. It might be worth trying some of the commonly used passwords, such as blank, or 'qwerty' etc...
