Hi
Am looking to fit a back draught shutter to our bathroom. How is it installed I. E. Do I need to get a ladder to get to the extract vent from outside of house or is it something that can be fitted from the inside of the house once fan is removed?
Thanks

Depends on the shutter, you can get ones that fit inside rigid 100mm duct so you could fit that from the inside retaining the existing external vent fitting.
This type, they slide inside the existing duct but you may need some foam rubber type tape to get a good seal against the duct.

If you wanted to change the external vent for one with a shutter then yes you'd need external access.0 -
