Tenant wants rent reduction - but is he entitled?

Give him a reduction by all means but two full weeks of rent...that's OTT.0

Well if he just cleared off without giving you the chance to offer something in the form of different heating (with a small reduction in the rent) then I wouldn't offer a penny and I'm speaking as a tenant. It's someone else's fault.0 -
Maybe he just went on holiday for 2 weeks!
I'm a tenant and my boiler packed up in December, my LL was very apologetic as it took over a week to order the parts and get someone to fit them. I didn't ask him for a rent deduction as these things happen.
When I lived in my own home I've had a boiler broken for over a week as well, with plumbers promising to come and not turning up, and waiting for parts to be ordered.0
