Thanks to all you for your replies. Sounds like a real nightmare if you attempt it yourself. I didn't realise there was so much involved.
We will have to get some quotes then, and hope it won't cost us too much.

If it's any help, we had the window panes replaced when our double glazing seals failed and we had water between the panes. I rang round lots of places, long short story, got all 11 panes of varying sizes replaced by our local glass company for the price it would have cost to have just 2 of them done by a company that specialises in replacing misted units!!0
