Can I get car breakdown cover for two months as Im about to get a new car and just want to cover my existing until the new one is delivered

    You get cover with Nationwide current account, £10 per month.
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    Breakdown cover is usually yearly.

    You can ignore this.


    RAC, Green Flag and numerous others do temporary cover from one day and upwards.


    Although typically 5 weeks is the maximum before they expect you to take out an annual policy.

    However, when you consider that you can get yearly cover for around £40, that is better value than a week of temporary cover.

    i have just renewed my house insurance with Saga & they have given me free breakdown cover for the two cars we own , yes free!!.
