Energy Club offer - but I have started my switch??
Hi
I wonder if someone can help please?
I began a switch from EDF to Sainsburys after a recent Energy Club email from Martin.
Today, I got the Energy Club email with the special bulk switch offer. My switch procedure started about a week ago so I still have time to cancel if the current offer is better?
What should I do?
Thanks for reading and in anticipation of advice.

I was in a similar position. I was moving from EDF to EON v14 Fixed and then they brought out the (slightly cheaper) v15 a few days after my switch was underway.
I knew I had the right to cancel so I rang Eon initially to see if they would put me on V15 (despite my applying to switch to v14). They couldn't suggesting that I cancel and (in effect) start again, which I did.
I wanted to reapply through the Cheap Energy Club tool but initially couldn't as it 'thought' I had a switch pending. Dan (from MSE) stepped in and reset my CEC account and I reapplied for the Eon v15 deal. (for details, search for my recent thread on the topic).
It (so far) seems to have worked for me.
Good luck.
PS. you might want to double check that by reapplying you achieve the savings commensurate with the effort. I didn't at the time and the actual benefit (v14 versusv15) appear so close it wasn't worth the extra effort.
PPS. What are EDF up to? Dont seem bothered to retain customers...0 -
Thanks Chunks.
Can you say how you contacted Dan?
I will check if there is much difference in rates.
I had the 5 year fix with EDF which finishes this year but now no exit fee.
Loyalty seems to mean nothing these days!
I have clicked thank you. 0 -

Sadly my second attempt to switch unravelled today when my v15 application was rejected on the grounds that l was an Eon client! Nonsense of course but according to the nice Eon lady on the phone she confirmed at least that l am not.
Wish l hadn't bothered but l have reapplied for the v15 tariff just now using the tool. Hopefully the gods are smiling this time.
Good luck with your quest!0 -
Apparently my application was within the current scheme and it is going ahead. :0)
Thanks for getting back and good luck this time.0
