Self employed mortgage insurance ?

Hi guys im self employed i have an emergency fund in case work is slow or anything happens
but i was wondering if there is an insurance or something that would cover me in case anything happens to me or work drys up to cover the mortgage for a year or so ?
Any help be great thanks

Yes it is possible to get MPPI if you are self-employed. There is an article here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/payment-protection-insurance
You'd need to ensure the policy you had covered your for being self-employed, extract from that article:Many MPPI policies cover you if you are you are self-employed. However, a claim can only be made if you go out of business through no fault of your own, for example involuntary liquidation.
