I have signed up to Gumtree, Spareroom and Easyrooom but I was wondering if there are any others avenues I could try?

  • I like the format of this website - plenty of info about the rooms, and free to use for flatmates (landlords have to pay):

If you know anyone at any of the big local employers, especially companies which have people coming on secondments, graduate trainees etc, ask if they'll put an ad up on the internal company system for you (most big companies/sites have some sort of electronic notice board). Gives you some confidence too that they're employed and have been through some basic checks at least if that's criteria you want.
