Had a look at Peterboro today .Still quite a bit of paint, and borders/wallpaper at 50p a roll.Mostly only 2 or 3 of each design though.
Note this is the fengate branch and not the one on Lincoln Rd which is still trading as normal.

widnes branch still open. Not much stock, but some cheap paints, lots of pictures and mirrors, 3 toilet pans (no cisterns) some cheap electric hobs (integrated, but branded) large shower tray, some kitchen units (not enough for a kitchen, semed to be lots of corner units.

They also had some cheap dining furniture. A set of 4 chairs and a round table in a moulded plywood was £229 now 89% off at £24.99. Looked reasonable quality, but for that price who cares. In a light, beech type colour, although enough cheap varnish in stock if you wanted to change it. They also had a cheapo garden furniture set.
It was a metal set, with a mesh table top/ seats in a green. The table seemed unusual as it was a round gateleg, and came with 4 chairs. with arms. They would probably need some cushions, but quite reasonable.

Also some discounted wardrobes, shelves and coffee tables.

Still had belgium chocs at 60p per box, and loads of white spirit.

Gonna do a seperate post for the dining furniture.

Suppose this thread is in line for an update and a bump.

Banbury seems to have closed - that was kept a little quiet, but it must have happened fairly recently. Haven't seen any posts about it, but it has been in what seems like closure since November.

That just leaves Telford and Cannock unless anyone knows differently for the midlands.

A member of staff in Bristol Brislington told me that they were told they would close at the end of March, though they were told a while ago it would be the end of January. Still lots of stuff there, with no decent discounts. Picked up a few cheap things and only got 20% off full price.

is the bristol one still open ?
The average woman would rather have beauty than brains,
because the average man can see better than he can think.

Many people's view of the world is down to their experience, perception and what they have been conditioned to,this isnt any old MSE reply this is a important and experienced MSE reply :rotfl:

I went in there yesterday. There was quite a bit of paint, lights, wallpaper and other bits left. It closes tomorrow (Thursday) according to the sign on the wall.

I got a few bargains, but nothing major.

Banbury closed last friday but there wasn't much left when we went in on the monday so not many bargains to be had.

Cannock will only be open for a few hours. It may have already closed, depends how long it takes to get rid off stuff I suppose. I only saw one other person there this morning. I got 90% of paint (not white, only 50%) table and chairs. Somethings only have 30% off.

Check what you buy at Focus. I bought my mother a lovely plant and when we took the cellophane off the full thing collapsed. Looked like a root rot. Even at 50% off still a rip off.
