same at the cannock store, 20% off now. before it was a bigger discount. how long can a closing down sale be dragged out for?
I know annoying isn't it! they obviously want to extend the closing period

Brownhills (which isn't closing down) seems cheaper on a few things; tiles for £1 that cost £4 at Cannock! & 75% off the wallpaper.

We also enquired about a bathroom suite at Brownhills (Cambridge I think?), they only have the display one left and quoted £100, the same one is £130 in Cannock so might be worth a look if you don't mind popping up the A5 ;)

Well, the reason for the tiles is that they are now discontinued stock and making way for a new range so they are £1 in all continuing stores. Closing stores however probably don't have the time to make the change or never got the email as they are shut off from the core stores.

Kitchens are the same, being sold cheaper (displays too) for a new range.
  • Hi toffeegirl, I popped into focus in West Drayton today, they had about six boxes of the slate floor tiles with a square hole on the shelf, those were all reduced to £1 so that might be worth a look if you need som

Thanks for the tip-off but someone beat me to them (and to the ones at High Wycombe). Never mind, Homebase have some normal ones which should sort me out....... obviously, I shall wait for 10% day!!!
  • Does anyone know if Coulby Newham Focus is closing pls ?

Popped into Taplow Focus yesterday. Apparently closing the end of this month. Most things are 30% discount, with some others at 50%.

Picked up a few things I needed and a very cheap garden table and 4 chairs for £9.99 the lot. Not sure how long they will last but at that price don't really care!

this is my local tooand no there isnt much but i asked the girl at the till and she said they were closing in about a month so probably better to try nearer the closing time. i think it is quite expensive still, and what is with all the teddy bears that have been stocked for sale!! very strange in a diy store!
Compers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Oct £60... £10 free spins, £50 palm, m&m pouch
  • Does anyone know when ROTHERHAM store is closing, it just says soon in store.
  • I have worked with Focus a little while now...
They have sold some stores that were losing them money, obviously to Homebase, Wickes, and Tesco. But those companys also said "we want those stores too".
Thats why there have been a lot of closures.
Anyway, if you want tips to get a bargain, if it's an ex-display item, we can offer upto 20% off, but generally, the manager will only let you go to 10%.
Don't forget to ask money off if the bags are split, IE, compost, cement. Etc.
I was interested to read someones comment about the Launceston store. How they don't seem well trained...
And no, I don't work in that store.
  • If a tin of paint is bent - you won't get money off. The paint isn't damaged. >.>
