Well half of the stock from Andover store went to Waterlooville (other half to Peterborough which is not closing). Also the manager from Andover store is going to Waterlooville on behalf of another company to help close the store down.

I am not sure what state they are in now, but i wouldnt take any information on a date as a final decision anyhow.

Andover store was supposed to close originally on the 28th of December I believe then the week before we did close (on the 20th) they told us we would close early on the 21st... then on the 19th we were told the 20th.

Alot of people missed out... and the week after we closed and we were still working to tidy the store and empty out the last things, we still had a lot of people drive into the car park and even walk up to the doors expecting it to be open.

Well they actually had 2 stores that had fully closed and emptied out the store and then re-opened straight after because they had not finalised some contracts and did not sell on the property, so they had to refurbish them 2.
I really hope this happens to more of them... Would put them in a right state after all the pressure and stress was put on the closing stores.

In case anyone is interested, the Flint store is down to the last dregs of stock, including tiles, paint, lighting, plumbing, nails and screws. It will probably close in the next few days.

last time i went up which was just before xmas it was full of junk. Old and dusty stuff, but loads of paint. Might nip up again tomorrow to see if they put a bigger % off. It was only 20% last time.

focus owned wicks then sold it to travis perkins,cerberus have now sold 60 odd stores, the store i work in closed yesterday 40 people out of work. Happy new year.
