can anyone here give feedback about the Customer Service standards from The Share Centre, please?
i moved from Hargreaves Lansdown to Interactive Investor last year, and am looking at potential new homes for my ISA and SIPP.

there is a good discussion of HL alternatives here:

and a thread re. holding Unit Trusts for a flat fee with The Share Centre here:

I can't help on your specific query as I have never used The Share Centre.
I'm more curious at your reasoning/problems for moving again as it seems you are looking for your third move in just over a year?0 -
second move..to my third provider.
as per this thread, saver861, there is a lot of discontent with Interactive Investor:

several contributors here have already transferred into & out of III...and the conversations i have had with them in the past few days just leave me believing i ought to get away. a reliable home for my ISA and SIPP is too important to me to put up with poor service.0 -
For what it's worth, I use the Share Centre as the fixed charges suit my fairly large portfolio very well.
In my experience, the customer service is absolutely first class.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
thank you ChesterDog, that is great news.
i would be looking to transfer Funds and Shares across to them.portfolio c100k.0 -
Transfer aside, don't forget about the (somewhat hidden) discount available on dealing charges: holding 500 shares in the parent company (Share PLC) gets you a 30% discount.
Also, if you go ahead, remember to turn on 'Frequent Dealing' before buying or selling high-value holdings. This entails a small fixed-charge (discounted, as above) rather than a percentage, but I am sure you will have spotted that.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
yes, thank you.. i was aware of the benefit of owning some Share plc shares. it's an interesting idea..do they just monitor clients' portfolios to see if they hold them?:undecided0

I use to have an account with share centre before moving to Iweb as it was way cheaper.
Share Centre customer service is excellent both on the phone and by email0
