Help to understand Legal and General Mortgage Insurance

Options
Hi,
When I bought my house 9 years ago I signed up to 'Mortgage Life or earlier Critical Illness Cover' and 'Mortgage Payment Insurance'. Being young (and stupid) I never really looked into these or tried to understand what they were and if I really needed them - I was just happy to be on the property ladder!
I pay approx £35 per month to cover both Insurances...

Any advice on if I need these???
Thanks in advance!

No-one can answer your question. If you're asking what you're covered for then with the Life & Critical Illness policy, your mortgage is paid off if you die, or are diagnosed with one of the many serious illnesses covered.

The other policy covers your mortgage payments for a period of time, typically a year if you cannot work through Accident, Sickness or Unemployment (usually).

So how would you pay your mortgage if you were sick etc and how would your estate or partner pay off the loan in the event of your early death?
