npower price fix may 2016
Im currently with npower for electric on the standard tariff and british gas for gas again on the standard tariff, Im looking at the npower price fix may 2016 for both my gas and electric as based on jan 2014-2015 usage I could save £280, paying £62 a month for both which is what I currently pay for gas alone. Would I need to do the switch through the energy saving club, or as im a npower customer already could i ring them up and get this offer ? thanks.

Why not give them a call? I think they will agree, but if they don't then you can go to the energy saving club.0 -
Only the tariffs labelled 'MSE Big Winter Switch Event' are exclusive to Cheap Energy Club, all the other tariffs are available directly with the suppliers themselves, so if you have an online account with Npower, you should be able to switch to the tariff you mentioned via their website or you can call them.
If Cheap Energy Club says cashback is available for that tariff then you'll be missing out on some easy money if you don't switch through Cheap Energy Club, though, so bear that in mind.0 -

Unsure how they are exclusive to Cheap Energy Club?

I dont know the small variation above constitute to exclusive rate? I did query that with power and their online agent's response was"Daniel: We cannot offer anything any different regardless who it is by. This would be breaching our regulations. Every tariff on every site should show the exact same unit rates for that area. We do not offer different rates to broker sites."
The only advantage I see going with Cheap Energy Club is £30 cash back!
I remain baffled!0 -
You are on standard tariff so paying over the odds .
You can use any/ multiple price comparison sites like energy club .
Be aware that DD amount is only an estimate of your usage and tariff costs are the only true measure of price.0 -
I have changed both gas and electricity tariffs (with Npower) twice each since October,to take advantage of falling prices.
Each time, I changed by phone and was given an up to date statement at the same time, as well as being sure that my latest readings were recorded.0 -
yes you can do it on the phone.
or on the npower website (when its working)0 -
