Amazon Seller, Item Not As Described.

I bought a v-support pillow described as a "Slumberdown support pillow"
However on receipt it clearly is not made by Slumberdown and is a poor substitute from a mill in Rochdale.
I emailed the seller stating my objections to their blatently misleading description and requesting a return label.
They replied saying as the pillow had been opened and used (untrue) it could not be returned.
I replied stating that it was unused and I required a return label.
Their next email offered me 50% of my money back and to keep the pillow "as a gesture of goodwill"
I am inclined to pursue this further because other reviewers have had the same problem and the description is still being used by various Amazon sellers for this type of pillow.
On the other hand I doubt that I have the patience to follow this through although I really don't want the pillow (with it's free pillowcase). It will be more hassle return it and they know this.
What really bugs me is that Amazon knows about the problem but lets these sellers continue to describe the pillow as Slumberdown How can they get away with this ?

If you contact Amazon directly (not the seller) via email, state that its not the same product, reply with photos, Amazon should take down the sellers listing and open an A-Z claim. Ive dont this before as a seller to take down another seller listing an incorrect product on my correct listing. If you dont get any help from emails, send one to the uk ceo office.
Amazon take a stong line on listing on a wrong product page.0 -

Well, I've left negative feedback on seller's products for elasticated belts that were cheap and shoddy and a mobile phone battery which didn't charge and then got emails from Amazon to say I'm not allowed to do this.0 -
Use the Amazon A-Z guarantee system. This allows Amazon to investigate and for you to provide the evidence that the item is misrepresented.0

Amazon themselves dont actively monitor feedback and the seller can get it removed by an automatic process if its refrencing the product not the sellers service.
Ive had sellers listings removed by listing on the wrong product and action happen by contacting Amazon directly0
