Looking for compatible toner cartridge

for Brother HL-2135W.

I found these on Amazon but several not-so-good comments so just a little hesitant http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AC255FQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A227RGGKCVP3TU#customerReviews

Wonder if anybody has experience of these cartridges or perhaps an alternative?

TIA

  • Have you investigated having the existing one refilled?

I hadn't but I've now had a look & it's about £12.50 plus VAT plus p&p for 35gr refill kit, I don't really feel confident doing it myself.

I think I'll give these generic ones a try - at least if there is a problem I can return them to Amazon.

I've recently bought a toner cartridge via Amazon from here:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/TonersAndInks-Compatible-Brother-DCP-7055-HL-2135W/dp/B00BEF69OQ/ref=aag_m_pw_dp?ie=UTF8&m=A246BLXYEZU2XX
Very good customer service when I had a problem.

Certainly not worth refilling - same price!

The Brother ones don't exactly break the bank.
All "compatibles" will be refurb and refilled the cheaper the cart the less refurb will be done. You've also got no way of knowing how many times the thing has been refilled.

The cheapest genuine one I can find is £30 - unfortunately that comes into my 'break the bank' category. I'll just have to take a chance on the generic and keep my fingers crossed it'll be OK.

I've been using compatible cartridges for several years now. I always note the page count and check I'm getting the claimed number of pages. Once it only did half the expected number, I complained and got a replacement. Another time the pages started to be streaky, again a replacement was sent. This from about 10 cartridges. I always hold a spare
