Company didn't pay me!

Hello everybody!

So I've been working for few months for one company, every month I was getting x days holidays to take in future. Once I've booked a holiday and apparently one whole week before it I was sick and spent it at home. After the my holiday has finished I did not have work already and they also did not pay me for this time.

Could you please tell me how can I solve this problem?
I've sent them e-mail already but they seem not to respond.

Did you send in a sick/fit note for the time you were sick?
What date did your employment start?
Are you on a zero hours contract?

They provide me 25 hours in the contract. I've noticed them every day of a day off that I'm not gona be there. It started in August.

Nah, not really. I did not even attend to doctor. We just needed doctors fit note to get paid for that sickness time.

Actually they may have done that before I've even started this holiday. I don't know if they are tacticians or it's just a misunderstanding. It's pretty big company, would not make a difference for them I guess.

There is nothing to suggest they are a troll - but rather their first language is not English. Thank goodness we don't all have your level of ignorance.

clatten, can you clarify for us what has happened? Is the issue that you were off sick, then took annual leave and you were then told there was no more work for you? And you have not been paid for your annual leave? Did you receive anything for your sick period?

So basically I've booked my holiday weeks earlier and apparently this week exactly before the beginning of my holiday I was whole week off about which I've informed my office. After my holiday finished I didn't even mean to continue to work for this company because too much health problems.

I think so too, but wondering if they were paid SSP for their sick period - they would have been entitled on the information given.

OP, have you spoken to payroll and asked for an explanation as to why you have not been paid? If you have and they are not responding, you can send them a letter titled "Notice before action" and advise them you will take legal action if the payment is not received within a specified period. Is there someone that can help you with the letter?
