Credit score stubbonly remains so low!!

Hi There
I know everyone says to ignore the scores that the credit agencies give you but purely for personal pride I'd like to know why mine remains so low!!
About 2 years ago I had approximately 8 or 9 active unsettled defaults and a CCJ and my Noddle score was (rightly) 1 out of 5.
Today I have 2 settled defaults (one will disappear in 2016 and one in 2018) and a CCJ that disappears in April.
I also have 6 active accounts with no late payments.
And my score is STILL 1 out of 5!!
I just like to know why!! I cannot believe that in the eyes of credit agencies my 2013 self is the same as my current self!!

CCJs and defaults are evidence that you have been unable to keep to repayments on past agreements.
3 of these on your credit file would mean that the majority of lenders will still see you as very high risk.
Well that particular credit reference agency only splits their version of population's credit file data in to 5 possible ratings. They obviously consider you to still be in the bottom 20% in terms of likely to be accepted for credit based on your credit file info.I cannot believe that in the eyes of credit agencies my 2013 self is the same as my current self!!A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Probably because you're still the same person?
Personal pride? Is that a recent thing?0 -
No "SuicideBob" personal pride is not a new thing so lay off the passive aggressive sarcasm please. If you knew my personal background you'd know the reasons behind my financial difficulty and the hard work Ive made to repay my debts and improve my situation.
Clearly I'm the same person but my situation isn't. I think that point was quite clearly made even if you missed it0 -

Your situation is the same. 2013 was little over a year ago.
Your personal circumstances don't matter. You racked up 9 defaults and a CCJ. That's being more than a bit wreckless.0 -
You're a fool aren't you SuicideBob aren't you? Your nickname clearly demonstrates that and you don't even have a basic grasp of maths. I lost a child (she killed herself so kudos on your nickname) and had a breakdown which meant losing my job. So that's wreckless is it? And to help with your maths, I've reduced my defaults by 7 so no my situation obviously isn't the same you self righteous smug !!!!!0

Firstly, well done for sorting out those 7 defaults.
Mr SuicideBob may not have read the forum etiquette guide, so here is a little excerpt for him:- Please be sensitive : This may be a web forum, but you're still talking to other human beings. Repeatedly or harshly saying someone's wrong, especially on boards like DebtFreeWannabe, Bankruptcy or Benefits, can lead to upset.
We're proud that many people whose financial problems exacerbate mental health issues seek help in the forum, but this means you may be berating someone who's clinically depressed. Please think twice before posting judgmental comments. - Don't feed the trolls : Sadly the web has a habit of throwing up a very small but vocal number of trolls, people who are nasty or contrary just to get a rise out of you. If someone's doing this, simply don't reply, just report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. If you get involved and fling mud back, you risk being barred from using the forum too.
Obviously your situation is not the same as 2013, that was well over a year ago. Sadly you have had a tough time of things but at least you are back on track. My sympathies for your loss.
Personally I wouldn't worry at all about what some stupid credit reference agency rates you. You know yourself everything you have done to improve your situation. Just keep up the good work and once that CCJ drops off your file I am sure you will see an improvement.
Best of luck for the future.
