Please help :(

Found out my ex partner has took out either a land line or Internet out with BT in 2010 behid my back... Only found this out by been declined for credit. Going through a dispute with BT about getting debt took off my name but they asked for quite a lot
Of documents proving I never lived at that address, back from 2010 what was very hard to get hold of as I have no bills back then... I was wondering about delt with BT and what are my chances of getting this fraud debt took off my name :( help me Iam wanting to save up for a mortgage and this is really scaring me :( already had another debt took off also from 2010 from a provident personal loans yet again behind my back :(

    Did your partner set up the BT account in joint names or just your name?
    Were they your partner at that time or already an ex partner?

    Generally it is hard work to get fraudulently opened accounts off your credit file, but if they are investigating then to start with you need to allow them to go through the process.

  • He just did it in my name. Yeah he was my partner at the time and the account hasn't been used since 2010.. It's like he used it for a little caused a debt and left it
