Is Regina Line for real?

We're interested in booking a trip to Denmark later this year. No updated news about this new ferry line between Harwich and Esbjerg. After DFDS Seaways quit running this route end of September last year, Regina Line's supposed to start running it from Easter 2015. However no news about this company since October 1014. Neither on their Facebook account either. The only way to contact them is by e-mail. Just wondered if this company is serious about this? Anyone knows something I don't?

Thanks. :)

A shipping line with no ship, no marketing or advertising either to the public or the travel trade and a route that a long standing company couldn't make money on? I wouldn't hold your breadth!
  • I very much doubt they'll be a passenger ferry to Denmark this year. It has been a disappointment that there's no passenger ferries to either Denmark or Norway but the EU regs on fuel oil emissions scuppered the previous services.

I enquired with DFDSeaways about going on the freight ferry from Immingham to Norway and Sweden but the cheapest I coud get (1 person and a camper) was £400 one way.
  • Thanks for the replies. :)

Come Easter; let's see what happens.

Hopefully somebody will resume running this route. :)

I have been waiting for them to start in Easter.
But then they postponed it to 2015, and then again to 2016.
And now their website says they don't even have any vessel. And don't know when will they.

Also their website is so not from this era.

I am finding it hard to believe that they are not actually going to sail. :(
    I had plans.

I visit Denmark regularly every 2nd month.

You will just have to keep travelling the way you currently do, new ferry routes are a rare thing these days, closures are more likely
