Delay(30 days) in processing refund after returning rental car

Hi All,

I had rented a car from enterprise for a week and when I returned it , they charged me £22. When I questioned they said it's a computer error and then they processed a refund. I had made 10-15 calls to sort this out. They were giving lame excuses an finally did a formal complaint with Enterprise. After 14 days , their area manager emailed me that there was an error in the previous processing of refund and it would be in my account in 3 to 5 working days. Now, it's almost 14 working days after the second refund processing, still not refund.

It's over 30 days and I have not received the refund. Does anyone know about the kind of rights as a consumer in dealing with such issues ? If it was with a credit card late payment, they would have charged an APR on the outstanding amount.

    Did you pay by card?

If so, ask your card issuer about a chargeback.
Should be quite straightforward as you have an email promising the refund.

Have a read of MSE's Chargeback article.
