I have done that already-the responses I have posted here were responses made to me via social media. PF's call centre simply referred me to the depot-who said they would get back to me after interviewing the driver. I havent had any further response.theonlywayisup wrote: »The case will only go in a sellers favour when a INR shows tracking. A signature isn't needed at this value, so that is moot. But a decent seller would have helped. But given you slapped them with a defect you can understand why they may not.
My advice would be to go to the carrier via social media, in a non rant way and see what help they give.
As I said, I did not intentionally "slap" the seller with a defect and for what it's worth-I have apologised.
Still, Ive formulated my new savings plan to purchase a new one when I can-a more expensive one as I will go somewhere in store so that I do not have to rely on parcel force or a sellers goodwill.
Still, thank you for taking the time to respond:)0 -
As has been pointed out by others (and in his reply) the seller has fulfilled his contract because the parcel was signed for.
He doesn't have to do anything. You can only ask if he will help, but he is under no obligation to do so.
This is untrue.
The seller has only fulfilled his contract when the buyer has their goods.
If the seller can't be bothered to help perhaps a chargeback might wake him up?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

What sort if chargeback would work where a supplier can show delivery?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Seems unfair that OP should buy something and not get it and that the seller simply does not care, the consensus on here seems to be that it's the buyer's fault. But given the evidence from PF the card company should have no issues reversing the payment."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I agree that it is very unfair and unfortunately issues arising with couriers claiming delivery, when the buyer disagrees seems to be a bit of a 'thing' at the moment. I certainly would be 'discussing' this with the courier and trying to keep the seller onside to help with the discussion.
However, I don't see that it helps OP in an already terrible situation to make suggestions that cannot be acted on.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay's decision that even non-fault defects count against sellers does seem to have created an adversarial mood in a lot of dealings between buyers and sellers.
I've seen a few powersellers comment that once they've received a defect, they don't rush to sort out problems, as they'll keep that defect whatever (or not) they do.Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.

Hi guys
Interesting day today.
First PFW's driver (and Im not sure I completely understand so Ill try to word it as closely as possible). He actually knocked on my door just after I got in from the school run. He was the guy that delivered the parcel for my husband and had me sign the pad. He even remembered who I was speaking to on the phone (I asked my mum to hang on so I could deal with him.
I told him it wasnt "his" package that was the problem and explained to him about the other. (Remember the call centre had said they were on two different routes) So he said when he got back to the depot someone working with "the system" had told him he still had one on his list and it was for my house. He responded that he had been here and the other person asked what time. He said he thought around 12:10. That was the last he heard until they started investigating and interviewed him. They said there were two packages for my house but that one wasnt on his route although it was assigned to him. He told me something about being a contractor and taking his van home so he packs it himself, where staff employed by PF have their vans packed for them.
So he has a theory and asked me to leave it with him as he had a few ideas about where it might be.
Then the seller I sent a number of messages yesterday "within the claim system" Im guessing. With information from PFW (as I posted yesterday) but had no response and thats when I figured Id had enough and to let it go. I left negative feedback (PF claims delivery. Seller refuses to investigate/claim) and went to bed. I checked this morning on the off chance and there was nothing.
Ive just got home and went to check my email for a swagbucks code and noticed an email in my private email from the seller.I only mention that it was my private email as a poster had said yesterday that the seller wouldnt want to communicate outside of the claim.
The email says:This is Tony, customer service of acauto-euro.
We are very sorry to see the negative feedback you left on your purchase.
We apologize this product is giving you trouble and please accept our sincerest apology for the bad buying experience you had with us.
Actually we're just about to issue a refund to you about the lost package after we receive get your reply in the Item Not Received case, but we found you the feedback left.
To show our sincerest apologies in this matter, we would like to give you a full refund and extra $10 as compensation on this purchase, if you could consider revising the negative feedback you left.
Please let us know if this is acceptable.
Again, our apology for all the hassle you've been through.
Now Im not sure Im willing to change my feedback and if we do happen to find the bag, Id be happy to return it should they refund. But are they likely to not refund at all if I dont change my feedback? And how do I respond?0 -
feedback manipulation is against ebay rules so that explains the direct personal email rather than an ebay message that you could easily report.
I wouldn't even think about revising until a refund had gone through, but i doubt that would happen im affraid.0 -

Accept their offer but do it via the email and also agree you will revise AFTER refund, if you are happy to do so.
When the refund comes in, if it does, ensure it's a refund and not a payment.0 -
Ive had a refund and an email to say a £10 payment will be made to me once I have changed my feedback. I never wanted compensation, just my backpack.
I did ask yesterday if it could be resent so that I might get it on Saturday and possibly get some use from it on Sunday. I was told they dont do an express delivery (funny since the original was sent express 24).
So Im going to leave my feedback as is, and get my backpack elsewhere.0
