Simply Survey Report from Bank Received - Do I need to dig deeper

Hi All,

Should I dig deeper here...

Received a survey report; very limited; but has lighted some brief issues; however the mortgage lender has offered the mortgage.

Issues highlighted

1. Isolated Dampness was noted to the chimney breast within the bedrooms
2. Front Left Chimney stack has deflected and needs repair
3. Flat roof on rear extension, such roof coverings are prone to failure have limited life span

However in the report it does say the general condition of the property appears consistent with its age and type of construction, but some works of repair and maintenance are required...

Same chimney? Might be worth getting somebody up there to have a look - it might be quick and easy, it might be a few days work to remove and rebuild the chimney and part of the roof.

Yep, they are. That's just a general maintenance note for your information.

So there y'go. It's an old house, nothing very major was spotted.
