Morning all,
Greetings from North Devon. Hubby was supposed to start his new contract today but decided he wanted a few days away in the van so we packed up and travelled down yesterday and will be back home for my dental appointment on Thursday. I'm still on painkillers and antibiotics but I'm a lot better than I was.
Girls have been out for a long walk and didn't seem to mind the cold I was told. I opted to stay in the van and keep warm. Youngest got into work ok and he's in negotiations with one of the security guys over an apprenticeship. Not counting our chickens yet cause he's been down this route before.
Onwards and forwards,
Have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hello everyone! Bitterly cold here, mix of sun and clouds. Took DS16 to school on my way to supermarket, I like being there early as it is so quiet. Then popped to a different shop as they had a few things on special offer, also filled up the car.
DH's tax refund came through so that was nice, mostly going into savings but we shall put some towards a new table and chairs for the garden, also a special meal out for our 25 Wedding Anniversary in July.
I am marinading some chicken in indian spices and yogurt, will be baked in oven and served with veg curry, rice and naan bread.0 -
Afternoon
Bitterly, bitterly, bitterly cold Northerly wind, that has literally taken my breath away three times today; twice whilst walking the dog and then I had to pop into the town. I walked into the bank and crikey it was horrendous going from such cold into a very warm area.
Got a £10.00 off voucher from the Bodyshop (on a spend of £25.00 or more) and I use their body butters so got two of those, one for now to use the other goes in my seagrass stash mini chest underneath the dressing table.
I was glad to come home to be honest, it was so flipping raw.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

BB we have had rain, snow, hail and sunshine. A proper mixed bag of weather. I have to remind myself its still in the throws of winter so it could be worse. We were only here just over a month ago. It was almost as cold then.
Went to Bideford today on the hunt for a replacement microwave (and to have a drive out).
Ain't in no rush to get to the beach though and I pity the poor souls who are brave/stupid enough to use the sea pool.
Not sure what's happening for tea. 'He Who Works' has turned into a nutty professor. He's trying to fit a full sized microwave into a space only big enough for a tiny one. There are many swear words floating around and the air is blue. At least if I'm at home I can go into another room and leave him to it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Evening all
First day of my new short hours at work, ended up rushing round like a blue arrised fly, got the car washed, got some shopping for a friend, took DGD to gym club, didn't get home until nearly 6.
We had liver, bacon, onions & mushrooms for tea with mash & peas, it was delicious, sausage egg & chips tomorrow.
Early night tonight, next door is on the early shift & banging and crashing around from 4 am & woke me up, I'll go to bed soon so I get enough sleep before he starts again.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0
