P60 and PaySlip

I'm self employed and made a loss this year but thats by the by although I thought I could deduct any loss from my wifes annual salary figure when submitting my Tax Credit Application.
I'm looking at the wifes P60 for 13/14 and for examples sake it says: Salary Total for year £14,126, Final Tax Code 944L, however on her latest payslip (Jan 2015) it says Annual Salary £13,773 Tax code 1000L
Why is the 13/14 P60 a higher value than what is said on the payslip itself? If I look at a March 2014 Payslip it says salary £13,773 and tax code 944L

Yeah, thanks for those points, I'll get her to ask her boss to explain it, it could be something quite simple and I'm no Accountant, lol.0
