Last night, I was messaged by a buyer to ask if they could cancel their bid as they had bought the same item! I set up a cancellation for buyers request which they are supposed to click on. They haven't done anything which is very annoying as now I wonder if I had left it would they have reneged on payment. I probably will lose my FVF too!

Sorry can't help this time, but I've twice had bidders ask to cancel their bids. I just politely tell them I'm not sure how to do it, but that they can cancel the bid as a bidder. Both times they cancelled the bids themselves0

            Has this item ended?0

Yes it has. There is a strange automated message from Ebay which says they will just check the buyers received their refund! They haven't paid!
I definitely wont do this again. The couple aren't replying to any message from me so I will ring Ebay in the morning and see what I can do. I have of course blocked them!0

This is the new cancellation process on ebay.
A message is sent to buyer saying transaction cancelled and asking if they have received refund,as soon as buyer confirms cancellation FVF are refunded if no confirmation its a 10 day wait then FVF refunded automatically.
If they had paid a refund would be done and fvf refunded immediately.

Thanks for that Steve- looks as tho` I will be waiting for 10 days to get fees back! Definitely discourages me from helping them to cancel sale when they cant be bothered to reply! Oh well!0

Yes they can if auction is still running. There are no bids to pull once auction has ended, all there is is a winning buyer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
