Car Tax confirmation

Hi,
My husband taxed my new car for me online, but entered an incorrect email address for the confirmation email to be sent to. He entered what he thought was my email address using my married name, whereas my email is still in my maiden name.
Neither did he take a note of any reference number which might have appeared on the thank you page confirming the transaction.
It is definitely taxed now, as when we go to try to tax it again,it says that it can't be done as already taxed, or something to that effect.
Does anyone know Of anyway to get written conf of the car tax now?

Thanks for your quick reply. It's still showing as untaxed there at the moment as it can take up to 5 days to update.
Can anyone who has received a confirmation email advise if the bank details used to pay, will be showing? I'd imagine not, but just checking.

Don't worry about it - you don't need any confirmation.

Check back on the gov.uk link that spicy gave you, in a few days.

You could also check that the money has left your bank account.

Just give your husband a hard time for being daft. ;)

Confirmation is only handy if you get stopped. It can take a little while to show on the DVLA site. (5 - 7 working days)

Taxed on 29 jan. Conformation of dd set up for a single payment from dvla stated payment will be taken 12 feb.

Number to call if anything is incorrect. 0300 790 6802. Call them and explain the incorrect email address.

Is it just the DVLA website that takes 5-7 days to update or does this also apply to the Post Office applications?
I am in the same situation, renewed a few days ago and the car is still showing not to be taxed, so I suppose there is a good chance of being stopped by the police.
