What's a bad search?

Hope I'm posting in the right place. I currently have a Noddle account that I check every month. I know a lot of searches count against you and I also know that there are good searches (soft searches, comparison site quotes - that lenders can't see) and bad searches (like when applying for actual credit.)
I'm unsure as to which ones are good and which ones are bad. On my Noddle account, the few different ones are:
Administration Review
Checking Credit Application
Quotation Search
Identification Check
General Insurance
Anti-Money Laundering (?!?! - yeah, thanks Barclays!)
Can anyone tell me what these mean, exactly? And which ones are bad? Just so that I have an idea on what my recent ones are.
Thanks!

I am pretty sure it's "Checking Credit Application" only.0

Posting in the Credit File and Ratings Forum might get you a more informed answer.0

None are negative but multiple recent credit applications in a short space of time has an impact as lenders don't know if you've been accepted elsewhere.0

The only one of those that can be seen by other lenders (despite what Noddle say), ie a 'hard search', is the "Checking Credit Application" search.0

Yeah, I didn't think having a credit search was a bad thing, especially if it's just the one or two. But lately, I've had lots of Admin and Insurance ones - 7/8 in the last two months which is why I worried a bit!0 -

Oh, they make it confusing! I spent about half an hour squinting through the different types. But cheers for clearing that up. I had quite a lot of Admin/Insurance searches which is why I asked!
