Not necessarily true, many banks will update at least some details of a received FP whatever time they get it.
Oh ! You've taken the wind out of my sails LOL.
How does it work if the system to transfer and receive the money and associated payments details are closed, at either the remitting bank, the clearing bank or the beneficiary a bank ( if that is not a clearer). Or if the central clearing system is closed i.e weekend in this case?

Certainly the bank that I worked for to develop FPS, and in my experience many others although not all, will have designed their systems in such a way that the transaction will show whenever it arrives as long as the Faster Payments engine is up. What won't be updated for most banks is the cleared balance as that processing happens overnight on business days (as you mention).0
