PCN from Smart Parking in free ASDA car park

Hi Everyone.
My local free ASDA car park was absolutely rammed the other day so I (stupidly) decided to park in the Parent & Child bay because I was only going to be 5 minutes. They must have been watching me because the ticket is time stamped for 1 minute after I arrived!
I have rang ASDA and asked if there is anything they can do, but they said I have to contact Smart Parking.
Having read a lot of the forums on here, I am a little confused about my next steps in not having to pay the fine.
I have also attempted to access the fine using their online system to create an appeal, but keep getting an error message!
Help please!

asda are talking rubbish as usual
if they are the landowner, they could and should deal with it as they are jointly and severally liable
complain to head office
as for this charge , its an invoice only , its not a FINE and it wont say that word anywhere on the paperwork, if it does you have a slam dunk appeal (but it wont)
If this is not an NTK through the post , wait for that and appeal as KEEPER to the NTK , to smart, using the template appeal in the NEWBIES sticky thread (the one you dont appear to have read)
its not far above this thread, below the green banner
read that , follow the instructions and if not so smart dont cancel at appeal, take it to popla and win
meantime, still complain to ASDA head office , with copies of any receipts or bank statements (suitably redacted of course)
as for those bays , they are gimmicks and mean nothing in law, a space is a space apart from the disabled ones which are provided under the EA 2010 (I know because I was parked in one an hour ago)0 -
So this is probably a windscreen ticket. Wait for your Notice to Keeper - should arrive in 29 - 56 days.
Then, bang in the "First Appeal to PPC" using the text exactly as it is (add your own detail obviously).

Then get a strongly worded complaint into ASDA about the predatory nature of these parasites, and that you'll be doing you shopping elsewhere in the future.
IF (not so) Smart parking reject the appeal, then come back for help with your POPLA appeal (do have go at your draft using the templates though).
Have no fear, you have found the MSE Forum - you'll be paying Smart Parking nothing.0
