I am after insuring the car for just a 3 month period.....anyone know who will do this????

Could always take out the insurance for a year and cancel after 3 months. You should get a portion of your money back but you'd need to check the insurer to make sure that it was going to be ok.

Your best bet is to ring around the High Street brokers. It's hard to find companies online that'll do it but IME, those with bricks and mortar branches do.
