Did your engagement ring fit?

I got engaged a couple of days ago , unfortunately my ring is a little big, it got me thinking how common is it for this to happen.
I dont wear any rings so my OH had nothing to go on size wise, did yours fit?

OH had cunningly listened when i got a ring that I inherited resized but that was for the other hand, so the engagement ring was a bit big. I've had it taken down a size but it's still loose as I take it on and off a lot0

yes it did, my other half took an unhealthy interest in the ring i wear on the other hand on the same finger when i took it off for hands on baking (rubbing in etc - i have spent to much time in the past removing cake mix from the setting). it has the size stamped on it. thankfully my finger id the same size on the other hand as i have worn my grandmothers wedding ring on my right hand and hand for 18 years and always said i would use it if i ever married.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. had to have mine made in my size as none available in any store of the one I wantedI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

Mine was two sizes too big, the jewellers just swapped it for the right size which was great as I really didn't want to send it off to be resized and lose it for a few days.0

This I am a little sad about but he designed it so needs to be sent back for resizing, I just hope it doesn't take to long!0 -
Mine was perfect, which was made all the more impressive by the fact that I don't have any other rings! I've since lost some weight (and am continuing to do so), so I will need to get it resized eventually.0

I thought I was being clever by finding a ring she used to wear and getting the same size but didn't realise the ring I found didn't fit either!
I got down on one knee.....she said yes! Couldn't get the damn ring on! #epicfail lol0 -
Mine was too big by about half a size - so it was OK in summer but often felt (and still feels) loose when it was cold. I got it resized at the place we bought our wedding rings from and now it fits perfectly."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

When I had the OH's ring collected I was told it would already be sized for when I popped the question.
No such luck!
So I bought some little rubber things from claires so it would stay on her finger!0 -
I got engaged on Saturday and the ring fits perfectly
I was amazed, I don't wear any other rings so I don't know how he did it!
