A bit of advice please.
I'm looking for a Mi-Fi unit, to fulfill the following requirements:-
Sim Free.
Must be able to use my existing 3 Network, 3G sim.
For use in the UK, and (using local sims) in Europe.
Able to be operated from both an internal battery, and while connected to the mains.
Available from Amazon UK or (at a push) locally, over the counter.
Maximum price of £50 (preferably a bit lower), including delivery, if appropriate.
I found three on Amazon.

Any other suggestions appreciated.

Cheapest is the Vodafone R206/Huawei E5220 from Argos. £19.99
Otherwise you are just paying someone £15 to do something that you can do for yourself for free.0 -
What would I be paying someone £15 for :huh:0

Unlocking it. Do you actually read any of the threads in which you participate?0 -
Alternatively, look here. You can give your 30 day notice once activated.
Unlock for £1 or less.0 -
I bought the 5331 two years ago and used it in Spain a few times, mainly with my ipad, does everything you are looking for.0

Unlock for £1 or less.
It says that's 4G.
Will it work with a foreign 3G PAYG sim?0 -

No need to be so patronising/nasty.
Wouldn't unlocking void the warranty?
Also, if, for some reason I couldn't unlock it, I'd have wasted my money.0 -

I know it's a bit pricier than the Argos one, but at least it works straight out of the box.
Glad my suggestion helped, I find the ignore button often helps when all you get is negative or insulting replies.0 -
That's a very good idea nickcc :T0
