It may sound a simple question - but which government department is administering the Warm Homes Rebate Scheme ?
I am assuming that it is DWP ?

Your energy provider administers the scheme, not an HM department.

Not true as far as I'm aware 50Twuncle, if you know different let the group know.

Its being extended yet again after 2016 and will continue to be administered by the participating [those with more than 250,000 domestic customers] suppliers. The current scheme which gives the core group [those in receipt of the Guarantee Credit element / or both elements of Pension Credit 'a pass through' administered by the DWP. The only thing that is changing is that the current 'broader group' criteria is decided by the participating suppliers, this is going to change for the winter of 2015/16, the GOV is introducing a set of standard criteria to define a vulnerable household for the 'broader group', which all participating suppliers must meet.

So previously the suppliers decided who they thought was vulnerable and now the GOV is putting out a set of rules that decides who is vulnerable.

    - no GOV department oversees anything to do with WHD
    - the leccy companies do all operational tasks to deliver WHD

GOV issue a list of all 'core' individuals [pension credit savings & guarantee information] to the leccy companies
GOV will issue [2016] a UK wide standard verification test to decide who qualifies for the low income fuel poverty 'broader' group

............................ see here and here .............. and here ...... - thanks to 'espresso'

..................... there is no GOV department you can write to to ask for any level of WHD ................... contact your leccy company ! You have been told many many times that if you were eligible you would already have been informed.
