Hi All
Just back from work. Today was a good day. Had £5 in tips which I took to Mr T's and bought 2 Lurpack for £4 & a £1 raspberry cheese cake for dessert. That's £7.50 in tips this weekend all of which I've converted into food.
Got 5 Mr T points for today's shop plus 1p from shoptize & a chance to win a £100 shopping spree in their draw.
Found 3p on the way to work.
Came home with some free bits and bobs from work that won't last till they open again.
Had a lovely real ham sandwich for lunch and coffee/tea for free.
Have just packed up son's lunch for tommorow so that's done.
Husband took son for free swim finally as we complained about the pool the last time they went (cold, the small pool wasn't open & it was over chlorienated)
Going to use one of the 20p YS packs of ham to do a ham, cheese & onion pasta bake tonight.
NSD of my own money anyway.
Maria - love the sound of your stinky dog. Maybe I wouldn't love the aroma quite so much
Foxgloves - TBH that sounds low to me. The house we sold is now going for £750k, admittedly large Victorian 3 bed but literally no garden front or back. To me that is a ridiculous price which is another reason I wouldn't want to buy into that sort of market. It's hard when you feel so strongly as at some point I will have to embrace the market but I would look for something a lot cheaper even if it meant a lot of work or a higher risk. Some of the property hot spots nearby like East Dulwich have hit £900k for a very ordinary 3 bed terrace.
If things carry on you will see more and more of these empty building horror stories where the only buyers are foreign investors who don't live there and hence you get whole areas in darkness at night.
P.S hope your naughty cat let's you rest tonight." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Hi All
Just read the thread and caught up. Everyone is so busy. I love this thread.
Whilst watching the Aus tennis thing that I have now got over(such a shame),I started a quilt project that I have been saving as I have never done quilting. Watching hours on you tube probably does not count! Bought some bits on ebugs as I was sure I would waste the materials and from a shop would cost over £60, my stuff is about £7. Anyway, small baby ragged quilt, very amateurish is now fluffing in the dryer. I have learnt a lot and it is very imperfect, but complete.
Then to avoid the baby clothes sorting out I went out to garden and chopped off the autumn raspberries, just about killed myself, and the baby pup, nearly trod on her twice - oops. We had crisp sun, then snow, then sun, then snow and moon, then sun, very beautiful winter day. A robin came and kept me company.
Anyway as I was finishing for the day, not the whole job, just could not do any more DS arrived wanting me to help move a cow, so I feel very agricultural, went and admired the suckler cows and sighed over the bulls. Different world to Bob, and no,no road kill anywhere! Just a lot of muck and straw. Sheds are warm and the cattle and snug and happy.
Am now showered, exhausted and have had a back tablet, (precautionary - there is every chance I will not be able to move tomorrow) and am reflecting on a lovely day. I really need to learn how to use sewing machine. I am a knitter, but think it is time I learnt some new skills. I have a friend who is a serious sew hand, think I need some lessons.
Thinking of work tomorrow, perhaps I will sort baby clothes tomorrow night? LOL

Ziggy, I think I might have guessed where you are headed......is it a very big shopping centre, on a main arterial motorway, & the the last bit of its name sounds a bit like 'hell', lol? I used to go there when I lived on the other side of the county. I sometimes used to go with my Very Spendy Friend, who is really lovely, but I always seemed to end up spending even more when I was shopping with her!
That is the one and yes at times it feels like hell - makes my legs ache (the marble floors) and gives me a woolly head (heating too high) but we did well, we got what we needed/wanted, collected a couple of freebies (nak'd bar & l'occitane) so we weren't in too long. We came home and I had a little nap before my theatre trip - it was a lovely night and I really enjoyed this adaptation.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Hi all
A NSD on my front (OH spent a bit but our finances are not linked yet) - we saw The Kingsman at the cinema and it was brilliant, really recommend it.
I have requested viewing on two apartments we've seen online. In some respects I hope that we don't fall in love with one, but I'd like to see whether we actually like what we think we like if that makes sense?! Just hope the EAs can do viewings on evenings/weekends.0
