    Useful reading - only ever dealt with monthly renting - with that (and previous examples) I'm shocked given how major the LA is around here they don't appear to be aware of this problem re plans for notice.

    Re buyers being put off they could be investors wanting sitting tenants in which case no hassle of moving from nice area, place settled & very convenient to shops/transport for commuting links. Not sure how likely that will be round here though (quite expensive compared to other nearby towns).

    Certainly provides some reassurance and hopefully more sleep tonight. Will discuss this tomorrow when can all sit down properly together - given what currently seems available to rent means none of us will have to be rushed into somewhere will end up regreting a shortly after moving in.
