Hi All,
I am checking my credit reports in advance of applying for a mortgage and have noticed that my reports are quite different between Experian and Equifax. One is 'excellent' and the other is 'fair' and I don't know if this is because they hold different information. So, some of my accounts show up on one, but not on the other. Is it actually possible to get accounts showing that aren't currently?
Thanks,
Lindesay

Hi Lindesay
I would be extremely surprised if all three agencies, Equifax, Experian and Callcredit (Noddle) show the same information.
I can only go on my personal experience but Experian seem to have the most comprehensive report for me, followed by Equifax. Callcredit (Noddle) hold very little in the way of my data for some reason.
Different companies report to different agencies, some report to all and others don't. Even different posters on here have different experiences of companies reporting to different agencies so how they all work is really a bit of a mystery.
Never worry about the scores given by the agencies, as many posters on here will happily tell you these scores are meaningless and just a way of trying to get you to buy into their services.
What is important is that you pay your bills on time and keep all of your accounts up to date. Make sure you are on the electoral roll and check all three files a couple of times a year to ensure that no incorrect data is held and all should be well.0
